Worldwide Angling

About Us

David Caywood Worldwide Angling is the creation of David E. Caywood, Jr. After a lifetime of hunting and fishing the world over he has come to form an organization that represents the needs of the individual above that of the lodge owner. This impartial perspective allows WWA to place anglers at the right lodge at the right time. We depend greatly on repeat business from clients and clients only.

WWA is not affiliated with, nor ever will be affiliated, with any third party that would possibly undermine WWA's independence. Enjoy the results.

David Caywood was born in Nashville, Tennessee. By the age of 14 he was backpacking for months at a time in the Wind River Range in Wyoming during his summers, and while just 17 years of age spent 10 weeks kayaking Prince William Sound in Alaska. For the next 25 years he would go on to bird hunt and fish from Alaska to Argentina, Australia to Africa. Five years in the American Embassy in London and later a carrier flying for Federal Express, David Caywood has seen more of the world than anyone still alive to talk about it. When not traveling, David and his wife can be found at their very private fishing lodge, spanning both sides of the Spring River in the Arkansas Ozarks. Call him today; he has never met a stranger!

Who We Are

Years ago before the Internet, I was doing what you are probably doing now. I was trying to find someone I could talk to about a fishing trip I knew nothing about. I got burned.

I wanted to go salmon fishing on the Meramachie River while on vacation with my wife. I found what sounded like a great place. I called and talked to the owner and he assured me that "we are casting every day over some of the largest fish of the year." To my amazement, he had a room for my wife and me.

When I got there the lodge was fine and they were in fact casting over large salmon. Problem was that they were not taking a fly, much less anything else. Last fish caught was a month prior to my arrival. No wonder they had room for us: we were the only ones there.

After talking to my guide, I came to the conclusion that the best time to come was in the fall. Alas, I had the information I was looking for. For the next trip. I should have questioned the lodge owner in more detail. Fact of the matter, I should not have had to.

After 25 years of traveling the world with a briefcase and a fishing rod, I have put together a group of lodges that I have been to, and I have put the client's interest before their own. These lodges pay WWA a fee per client and it does not cost the client one cent more than the person who books direct. Because we send a very respectable number of clients year after year to the few lodges we endorse, WWA clients represent a whole lot more than just a one-time client.

You will not have to worry about where to go and when to be there. We have figured it all out long before you call our 800 number. On top of that, my associates and I lead trips to new lodges that we are looking at representing, as well as to lodges we have represented for some time. Our lodges are always worried about loosing the Worldwide Angling business. Take advantage of it.
